Human Foods That Are Safe for Dogs

Although our food may be palatable and satisfying to us, human foods can pose serious dangers to our dogs. All different species are unique, and thus require diets specific to their unique design. Us as people have a caloric intake requirement, certain biological factors, and other immune-based sensitivities that are not the same as that of our dogs.

However, there are some foods that our dogs can safely enjoy from our kitchen:

1. Green beans
Green beans are a healthy source of fiber and very low in calories. This vegetable is filled with antioxidants, which help remove toxins and free radicals that are taken in through breathing chemicals that occur in the air we breathe and other fatty foods. This is also an excellent food that we can share with our dogs because of the soluble fiber that it contains which helps lower cholesterol and maintain a healthy weight. A healthy weight is vital to our dogs’ health in that it prevents illnesses that come with obesity, such as heart complications, strokes, and cancer.

2. Cucumber
Cucumbers are a very refreshing and very low-calorie food that can help keep us feeling hydrated and our digestive systems working regularly. This food is good for us and our dogs because it helps to eliminate water retention that can happen from eating too many foods high in salt, and thus they can lower high blood pressure.

3. Carrots
Carrots are a yummy and crunchy vegetable that contain beta-carotene which is great for eyes. This veggie is great for sharing with our dogs because it is a low-carb food that also helps eyesight and overall eye health, such as preventing cataracts.

4. Peanut butter
Peanut butter is a sweet and delicious food that will allow your dog to satisfy their sweet tooth without jeopardizing their overall health from the danger of indulging in too many fatty and sugary foods. This creamy treat is filled with healthy fats that are good for your dog’s health overall.

5. Broccoli
Broccoli is filled with a plethora of vitamins, minerals, protein, and folic acid. This is an excellent food that is safe and great for your dog. Giving your dog this food is proven to keep your dog looking great from the inside out.

We must care for furry loved ones by giving them the proper nutrition they need for their health and vitality, after all we are their parents so we must help them by making the right choices for them. To help our dog live to be their best self we can start by making smarter health choices for them like investing in limited ingredients dog food, and making the process easier on ourselves by setting up the best online fresh dog food delivery service that works for our budget and our dogs nutritional needs based on their breed, stage of life, and caloric requirements. We must keep our dog’s needs in mind the next time we pass the plate.
