2. The Peninsula Hotels
The Asia-based hotel chain offered massive discounts in its US-based properties, which are in Chicago, New York City, and Beverly Hills. The discounts went up to 30% and the stay could have been availed till the end of this financial year in New York, and till April in Beverly Hills and Chicago. Discounts were offered on guest rooms as well as suites. The hotel chain witnessed a significant rise in the number of bookings during the said period. Discounts in the Peninsula Hotels were also offered from Black Friday through Cyber Monday.
3. Airlines
Apart from leading hotels across the world, flight operators also offered attractions to customers for bookings during the Black Friday sale. The discounts were mostly available from 29th November to 2nd December and the period of travel is till the end of March in most airlines. Air France, looking to build more loyalty as a result of the Black Friday sales, offered triple loyalty points on the current as well as new Flying Blue Loyalty Program members. Similarly, Aer Lingus, the Irish Flag carrier, offered $100 to $200 discounts on business class fares between the US or Canada and Europe. The duration of the offer in the case of Aer Lingus was from 26th November 2020 to 3rd December 2020.
4. Online aggregators
Online aggregators also had a field day with most of their inventory on great discounts, and customers were finding it difficult to choose one from the many options available. Contiki slashed their prices by up to 30% for deals bought between 29th November and 2nd December. This deal was one of the most anticipated Black Friday deals. There were attractive discounts on cruises, too, with U River Cruises offering up to 30% off on certain trips. Experiences were also at discounted prices with Glamping Hub adding 20% on any gift card purchased during the Black Friday sale period.
